ChemexV60Aeropress

Ireme, meaning “Authentic”, is an experimental lot created with one clear intention: to connect producers and drinkers through a truly expressive cup of Rwandan coffee.
Produced by Gasharu Coffee, this lot reflects a belief that coffee farming, processing, and consumption shouldn’t exist in isolation — each stage should be shaped with the other in mind.

The team at Gasharu carefully manages fermentation time and conditions to build depth, clarity, and complexity, resulting in a cup designed to be both memorable and representative of Rwanda’s potential. Every processing decision is made with the end cup — and the person drinking it — firmly in focus.

Ireme is about more than flavour. It’s about connection: between farmer and consumer, origin and destination, community and cup.  A thoughtful, expressive coffee that captures the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose at the heart of specialty coffee.

Known as "The Land of a Thousand Hills," Rwanda produces vibrant specialty coffees defined by a sparkling, citrus-like acidity, floral aromas, and a complex sweetness often compared to black tea and red berries.

To ensure peak flavour and aroma, we roast in small batches multiple times per week at our local roastery. Every bag is shipped shortly after roasting, ensuring you receive it at the optimal point for degassing and brewing. We recommend resting your coffee for 5–7 days from the roast date to allow the flavours to fully develop before brewing.

Keep your coffee in its original valved bag, stored in a cool, dark, and dry place. Avoid the fridge or freezer, as moisture can damage the delicate oils and flavor profiles of the beans.
