Sourcing an easy-drinking, clean, crisp Guatemala was the mandate for our customers for 2024. The result, a beautifully washed coffee produced by Dieter Nottebohm within the San Marco region.
Nueva Granada is a deep green coffee farm in San Marcos, nestled by the two tallest volcanos in Guatemala -- Tajumulco and Tacana. In March and April the coffee trees bloom with jasmine-scented starry flowers that drift like clouds over the farm. The green buds then grow under the canopy of shade trees until, by late October, plump cherries cascade down the branches and begin to ripen.
Through expert growing conditions and meticulous processing techniques, this Guatemalan coffee is a delightful and versatile choice for any time of day. Its unique flavour profile makes it suitable for both filter and espresso brewing methods, and we are excited to share it with you.
