Underdog is a concept designed for incredibly flavoursome single origin coffee's, roasted for espresso. We know how vital it is to keep our coffee's seasonal and tasting consistent, that's why we source only newly harvested coffees with full traceability. Underdog aims to unearth some of the worlds' highest quality coffee, showcased through a memorable espresso roast.
The Coffee
Coffee for Viani is collected across three stations, but around 70% is a result of Mr Joseel’s harvest. His farm is in Quipile, the birthplace of coffee importer Racafe. Cherry is either processed on the farm or delivered wet, if the quality is high, then dried in a guardiola on site. Cherries are picked on a Monday or Tuesday, depulped by the end of the day and fermented for 48 hours. Mr Joseel has executed this process for over 20 years, whilst reinvesting in infrastructure and procedures to amplify green coffee quality year after year.

Through the sales of this coffee we're giving back to an incredible charity. Every bag sold means a 50p donation to Underdog International. At the end of each quarter, the ongoing amount will be met by Big Dog and submitted to assist with ongoing projects.

They aim to positively impact one million children and dogs by 2025 through our 'dogs in schools' programme, global education projects and their dog adoption initiatives.
